Deepening your practice –

1:1 SUPERVISION/Mentor Coaching

monthly virtual as required

Fee £200 per Hour

Supervision of Practice is a very important route to growing your confidence, presence and capability as a coach. I have been supervising practitioners for 30 years so understand the challenge this can be, along with the value it brings.

I bring all the skills outlined on this website to the practice of supervision so those in training or wishing to embed Gestalt more in their practice will find this an effective way to learn.

Generally I function more in a mentor role but always guide with authority on ethical and boundary issues.

I use the Hawkins 7 Eye Supervision model as a way of structuring the supervision session.

1:1 Supervision/Mentor Coaching formats -

  1. Presenting a current client situation (individual or team) for exploration

  2. Sharing an audio/video recording for review.

  3. Observing a live virtual session.

Working with a small group of 6 practitioners is a fantastic way of learning - sharing your client difficulties/successes and hearing peers discuss theirs. There are also many group experiential techniques that open up a particular topic/dilemma for all to explore and learn from.

My role is more of a Gestalt style group facilitator using mentoring interventions but always guide with authority on ethical and boundary issues.

I use the Hawkins 7 Eye Supervision model in the group context as a way of structuring the supervision session. You can expect to:

  1. Present coaching clients both recorded and written

  2. Receive feedback on live coaching practice with a group member

  3. Provide observation comments to other group members

  4. Engage in group supervision techniques - role play, projection, art, tag coaching

  5. Discuss theoretical and philosophical points of practice

  6. Address ethics and boundary management in practice

  7. Potentially engage with other group members in peer supervision between sessions.
